Ketai H001 3D phone launches in Japan

Content that hits you straight between the eyes

We'll be honest with you, the Ketai H001 handset is almost certainly not heading to the UK. But it does offer a glimpse into the future of phones.

Produced for Japanese mobile operator KDDI, the handset features a 3.1-inch hinged screen from Hitachi that's able to display games, video and images in real-life 3D. And with a built-in 1Seg receiver, a constant stream of 3D TV is just a click away (although you might have to don a pair of silly specs to get the full benefit).

Aside from that, there's a 5MP camera, plenty of media storage and E-Wallet support, should you want to use your mobile as a credit card. We're excited, there's no denying it. Mobile phone makers of the world, don't let us down.
